Pensions are being increased by 0.44%

Our financial situation is good enough to allow pensions to grow partly in line with the cost of living. As of 1 January 2022, all pensions built up at Bpf Koopvaardij will be increased by 0.44%. The conditional entitlements to extra pension from the VPL scheme will be subject to an additional increase of 4.86%.

You do not pay a contribution for an increase in your pension. Pension increases are paid from investment returns. We have to ensure that we achieve such a return that there is enough money for current and future pensions and an extra reserve. For every euro in pension, there must be at least € 1.10 available. Read more about our financial situation.

Correction of previous reduction of extra pension in the VPL scheme
If you were born between 1962 and 1972, inclusive, you may be entitled to an extra pension on the basis of the conditional pension scheme (VPL). We reserve money for this. This year's reserve is large enough to correct the reduction in the extra VPL pension in 2020. In addition to the 0.44% increase, the conditional VPL entitlements are therefore being increased by a further 4.86%.

If you were born in 1960 or 1961 and you receive extra pension from the VPL scheme, this extra pension will be increased by 4.86% in your case too as a correction for the reduction in 2020.

You can see the level of your pension in My Koopvaardij
The adjusted amount of your (VPL) pension can be found in January in My Koopvaardij (accessible with DigiD or eIDAS) or on your Uniform Pension Overview later this year.

If you do not have DigiD or eIDAS, you can always contact us for pension calculations.
