September 2020

Are you not yet able to log in with eHerkenning on the Koopvaardij portal?

For our renewed Koopvaardij portal, you need eHerkenning. We see that many employers are not yet logging into our portal. If you are having problems doing so, please let us know. Our Employers’ Desk is ready to help you via servicedesk@koopvaardij.nl or +31 88 007 98 91.

If you do not yet have eHerkenning with reliability level EH3, request it as soon as possible, so that you can pass on your salary details and personnel changes to us. If you have an administrative office or accountant for your payroll administration, a chain legal authorisation is required. This involves you authorising your administrative office in writing to carry out work on your behalf. In that case, you do not have to apply for eHerkenning yourself.

Submit your monthly salary details in good time

Every month, you submit the salary details of your employees and personnel changes via the Koopvaardij portal. You use the salary details to calculate the premium to be paid. If we do not receive any details from you, we will use the salary details from the previous month and a correction on a subsequent specification will be necessary. It is therefore important that you submit the details on time. Provide the salary details for the previous month no later than the last day of the month. For example: the salary details for May must be submitted by
30 June at the latest. We will then ensure timely processing and include them in your next premium specification.

Premium specifications are now available securely and quickly on the portal

As we informed you earlier, the paper premium specifications were adjusted as of
1 September. You will receive only the cover page with the total premium by post but no premium specifications any more. You can always view the entire premium specification securely and quickly online on the Koopvaardij portal or download it as an Excel file. Simpler, faster and cleaner.

If an employee takes additional birth leave, you enter € 0

Since 1 July 2020, partners can take a maximum of five weeks of additional birth leave. During this leave, the partner does not receive a salary, but a benefit from the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency (UWV). This benefit is a maximum of 70% of the daily wage (to a maximum of 70% of the maximum daily wage). Because this is a benefit, no pension is accrued during the additional birth leave (and no pension premium is paid). This means that as an employer, you enter the pensionable salary of the employee in question as € 0 during this period. However, the pension scheme will continue to apply in the event of death and occupational disability. Partners are entitled to additional birth leave if their child is born on or after 1 July 2020.

Employers’ guide

The current Employers’ Guide can always be found on our website. This contains easily accessible information about the pension scheme and your pension administration.
