The Koopvaardij Portal is being improved

We are going to improve our administration system and the Koopvaardij Portal. It will not be possible to communicate changes from 1 December 2023. So please communicate your changes for October 2023 before 30 November 2023. You will receive the invoice 1 week earlier. We will let you know when you can communicate changes again.

Increase in pensions later in 2024

We try to increase pensions each year with a supplement. At the time when you receive this newsletter, a decision has not yet been taken on this increase. Consequently, the level of the supplement is not yet known. However, we do know that due to ongoing work to improve our administration system, we will not be able to issue the supplements by 1 January 2024. In mid-December, your current and former employees will receive a letter from us. In this letter, we will explain how high the supplement will be and when they will receive it.

Help with pension options for your employees

Your employees have several pension options at Bpf Koopvaardij, e.g. they have various options at the moment they retire, but also at other times, such as at the moment they enter or leave employment or divorce. These options will affect the level of the pension. It is therefore advisable to think about this carefully. We will be pleased to help your employees in considering these options. For more information, your employees can request a personal consultation with our Service Desk.

Questions about the new pension system

Now that the new Dutch Future Pensions Act has taken effect, we can well understand that you and your employees have questions. On our website, we therefore answer the most frequently asked questions about the new pension system.  

What is the situation regarding the new pension scheme?

The social partners (trade unions and employers' organisations) in the merchant navy are currently making agreements on a pension scheme that best suits our members. In doing so, all interests are carefully considered. The social partners aim to take the final decisions by the end of 2023. Once the arrangements are finalised, we will let you know via the website and our newsletter.

The periodic wage assignment tool will expire as of 1 January

From 1 January 2024, the periodic wage assignment tool will no longer be available in the Koopvaardij Portal. If you are using this tool to create an XML file, save a blank copy on your computer or go to the Toolkit on our website to download the tool.
