Bpf Koopvaardij's board adopted the implementation plan and communication plan for the new pension scheme at the end of May. This means they agree with the content of the plans and have confidence in their implementation. On 12 June, we submitted the implementation plan and communication plan to regulators DNB and AFM. They are now assessing whether Bpf Koopvaardij can switch to the new pension scheme from 1 January 2026. In principle, DNB has 6 months to approve the implementation plan. If necessary, the regulator may extend that period. AFM will respond to the communication plan within 8 weeks at the latest.
What's in the implementation plan?
The implementation plan explains what is required to start a new pension scheme on 1 January 2026. For example, adapting our policies, administration and investments. And how we deal with accrued pensions and pensions already in payment.
What's in the communication plan?
The communication plan is part of the implementation plan. It explains how we will keep you informed about the new pension scheme. For example, you can read who we will inform and when, what we will tell them and how we will do so.
