Bpf Koopvaardij is permitted to switch to the new pension scheme

On 21 November, Bpf Koopvaardij received the transfer ruling (in Dutch, the ‘invaarbeschikking’) from the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). The ruling is official permission from the DNB to transfer all the pensions at our fund to the new pension scheme. The DNB gave Bpf Koopvaardij the green light after carefully reviewing all the documentation that it had submitted.

The finishing touches

Receiving the transfer ruling is an important milestone on the road to the new pension system. Over the next two months, Bpf Koopvaardij and our administrative organisations will be working hard on the final preparations and conditions for a careful transition. The board will decide in December whether we can indeed make the transition in a controlled and balanced manner as of 1 January 2026.

Updated implementation plan

After discussions with the DNB, Bpf Koopvaardij's board has decided to make some minor alterations to the implementation plan. Those alterations will ensure that the transition is more appropriate for all the members. You can find the new version of the implementation plan on the dedicated page 3 plans, 1 pension scheme

Preliminary calculations

You received a letter with your preliminary calculation in October (or you will receive it shortly). It shows the amounts that we currently expect for you in the new pension system. Please note that these amounts have not yet been finalised. You will receive a letter with the finalised pension amounts in the spring of 2026.
