Bpf Koopvaardij intends to switch to the new pension system on 1 January 2026. We are hard at work preparing for this switch. As part of these preparations, you will receive a letter or email before 1 December with the preliminary calculation of your new pension following the switch to the new pension scheme. In it, you will find an overview with an estimate of the expected amounts for your pension. You will also see the expected amount of pension for your partner and/or children. These letters will not all be sent out at the same time. You will therefore receive your letter at some point in October or November. Have you indicated that you would like to receive all our mail digitally? In that case, you will receive an email. If you still receive letters from us, we will send the overview by post. The letter you will receive in October or November will contain preliminary amounts.
In December, Koopvaardij will take a final decision on switching to the new pension scheme. For the moment, nothing can be said about any increases in pensions. The calculations in the letter you will receive in October or November will be based, among other things, on the funding ratio as at 30 June and your personal situation. In spring 2026, you will receive a final calculation showing what you will receive in the new pension scheme.
