On 1 January 2026, Bpf Koopvaardij switched to the new pension scheme. In the first few months of this year, we carefully converted your pension. You will soon receive a letter or email with the final personal calculation of your new pension from 1 January 2026. You will receive your calculation between now and the end of May.
Are you building up a pension with us, or did you do so in the past?
This letter will tell you what your expected pension will be under the new scheme. It will also tell you what your partner and children (if any) will receive when you pass away. The enclosure/attachment to the letter also serves as your uniform pension overview for 2026.
Are you already receiving a pension from us?
The letter will tell you what your new pension amount will be. You will also receive a separate letter with your benefit payment overview. You will receive this new amount in your account for the first time in March. Because your pension has been increased, you will also receive a separate back payment. This amount is the difference between your old and new pension for January and February.
Check your allowances
If you receive allowances from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration, such as rent or care allowance, the increase in your pension may affect the amounts of these. You can find more information about this at www.belastingdienst.nl/toeslagen.
