Investments
Assets rose to €3.76 billion in 2024 (€3.67 billion in 2023). Our aim over a longer period of time is to achieve a higher return than is necessary to pay pensions. We are therefore satisfied with the surplus return achieved compared with our liabilities. This is above the long-term annualised target of 1.1%.
Funding ratio
The funding ratio at the end of 2024 was 117.8% (2023: 118.3%). The value of the investments increased by 6.6%. The value of the pensions we have to pay increased by 5.2%. We also increased pensions by 1.27% as from 1 January 2025. All this led to a slight fall in the funding ratio.
