Are you applying for a pension? You can do so digitally

From now on, you can apply for your pension entirely digitally in the revamped pension planner in My Koopvaardij. If you just want to check out your options, make calculations, but not yet apply, that's also possible, of course!

What are the advantages of digital application?

  • Insight.
You follow the pension planner in 7 clear steps. At each step, you make a choice. You immediately see how this affects your net income with each choice.
  • Convenience.
You can save or print 5 pension plans. So you do not have to complete your plan in one go. Taking time to discuss it with someone else is also possible. For example, with your partner or financial adviser.
  • Speed.
You can then apply for the pension plan of your choice entirely digitally. This is much quicker than sending forms back and forth by post.

What options do you have?
Bpf Koopvaardij offers several options if you wish to retire. The options are also listed in the pension planner in My Koopvaardij. You can immediately see in the pension planner what happens to your monthly pension amount if you make a certain choice. You have these options:

  • You can choose when you want to retire. At your state pension age, but also earlier or later.
  • You may receive a higher pension at first and subsequently a lower pension.
  • You and your partner can decide on the amount of the partner's pension.

How does it work?
You log in to My Koopvaardij with DigiD or eIDAS and go to the pension planner. You follow the steps in the pension planner and create your pension plan. If you need more information, you can find it easily. When you are ready, you can apply for your pension plan in the pension planner. You do so starting six months and no later than three months before your desired retirement date. You will receive confirmation with the exact amounts within three weeks of your application.

Prefer it on paper?
You don't have an e-mail address or no DigiD or eIDAS? Good to know: applying for a pension by post is still possible.
