New member of the supervisory board

As of 1 July 2018, Jan Kuijsten is appointed as a member of the supervisory board of BPF Koopvaardij. He succeeds Karin Bitter, who will resign on that date, having served the maximum six-year term.

Jan Kuijsten (1958) is an actuary by profession. In the period from 1991 to 2017 he held various positions with Philips Pension Fund (PPF), including Executive Director/Pension manager in the final years of his tenure. He was also a member of the Actuarial Committee and the EIOPA working group of the Federation of the Dutch Pension Funds. He is currently self-employed and focuses on supervisory functions.

Focus
Within the supervisory board, Jan Kuijsten will focus on outsourcing and the management of non-financial risks. This includes the assessment of contracts, internal audits, compliance, cost assessments, communication and the monitoring of the outsourcing of asset management and the pension administration.
