What members want to know about investing

What do members of the Bpf Koopvaardij pension scheme know about investing for their pensions? We conducted a survey on this over the summer with the help of our online customer panel. Over 1,000 members and pensioners of the fund completed the questionnaire we sent them.

The survey shows that many members are aware that Bpf Koopvaardij invests their pension contributions. However, they often do not know how we invest, what we invest in or what risks are involved. 

Many members would like to gain a better understanding of what investing means for their pension and how investment returns may ultimately affect their pension assets. Calculation examples can help with this.

Not everyone needs the same amount of information. For most members, a general explanation covering only the key points is sufficient, but there are others who would like more detail.
