On 1 January 2026, we switched to the new pension scheme. Currently, we are gradually converting all pensions. This also affects your personal online environment. You will be temporarily able to arrange less in My Koopvaardij. We explain what this means for you below. Good to know: All the other general information about your pension will remain available on the website.
What will you still be able to arrange?
We will convert the pensions to the new scheme in January, February, and March 2026. As a result, you will be temporarily able to arrange a bit less in My Koopvaardij. Here’s what will and won’t be possible.
You will still be able to:
- View your pension information. Important! You will be temporarily unable to see your current pension amounts here.
- View and download your pension overviews and other mail at My Documents.
- Notify us of changes, for example alter your account number or wage deductions tax credit.
- Send us a ‘Life Certificate’.
You will be able to do this less:
- Plan and apply for your occupational retirement pension.
- View current pension amounts.
- Register or deregister your partner.
- Display and change your correspondence address.
Here’s a tip: Check your details before the end of the year to make sure everything is correct.

Pension transfer
We will not be able to process any pension transfers in the first few months of 2026. From 1 May 2026, we will process the applications that we were unable to deal with this year. You will be notified of this automatically. You can read more about this at Pension transfer.
No start letters, end letters or divorce UPO statements until April 2026
You will notice this if you are new to the company, leaving the company or divorcing your partner.
- Are you new to Bpf Koopvaardij? You can expect your welcome letter from April 2026 onwards.
- Are you leaving the merchant shipping sector? You will receive your final letter from April 2026 onwards.
- Are you separating? You will receive your divorce UPO from April 2026 onwards.
Are you receiving a pension from us?
In the first few months of 2026, you will still receive your pension under the current pension rules (2025). We will then be carefully converting all pensions. From spring 2026, you will receive a pension under the new pension rules. You will be notified of this before then.
