Help with the final calculation
The letter will tell you more about your expected pension in the old and the new situation as of 1 January 2026. You will see the amounts for each topic. Some topics include: occupational retirement pension, partner’s pension and orphan’s pension, and what happens to pensions when the economy is doing well or is doing poorly. Your pension assets are new. You will also read why the amounts in this letter may be different from the previous letter.
Do you have any questions about your letter or the amounts it contains? We will be happy to help you. For example, you can ask Boris, the digital assistant, any questions you may have. Or view the infographic with key topics.

View the infographicWhy is the pension higher in the new scheme?
For most members, the new pension is higher after switching to the new pension scheme. This is due in part to:
- A sound financial situation in 2025
- A healthy funding ratio at the time of conversion
- A balanced distribution of Bpf Koopvaardij's total assets
- Higher interest rates, which could lead to a higher expected pension per month
You may have a lower pension. This may be because you worked in the sector for a short period of time.
