Your pension in the new scheme
On 1 January 2026, we converted all pensions to our new pension scheme. This includes your ex-partner's pension. Between mid-March and the end of May, you will receive a letter or email showing your pension in the old and new scheme. You will also read why the amounts in this letter may be different from the previous letter.
Pension of your ex-partner
Your ex-partner has built up pension at Bpf Koopvaardij. When you separated, you and your ex-partner divided this built-up pension. You will receive a pension from us when your ex-partner retires or when your ex-partner passes away.

Your ex-partner retires
The letter will show you the expected occupational retirement pension when your ex-partner retires. You can see the amounts in the old and new scheme. The amounts are gross annual amounts. The calculation is based on your ex-partner's state pension date.

Your ex-partner passes away
Under “expected special partner’s pension”, the letter will set out what you will receive if your ex-partner passes away. You can see the amounts in the old and new scheme. The amounts are gross annual amounts.
