Conditional pension

Conditional pension is extra pension in addition to your occupational retirement pension and partner’s pension. This was introduced in 2005 to compensate for a change in the pension scheme, which resulted in a lowering of the pension build-up for a small group of members. Please note: this scheme has ended on 1 January 2023.

Conditions

  1. You were born between 1960 and 1972.

  2. You were a member of the Bpf Koopvaardij pension scheme in 1994.

  3. You were a member of the Bpf Koopvaardij pension scheme in 2005 for at least 165 days.

  4. Prior to the year in which you turn 60, you were a member of the Bpf Koopvaardij pension scheme for at least 165 days.

This pension was granted to members who were eligible for the conditional pension as of 1 January 2023. They have been informed about this. For them, the conditional entitlements have been converted into unconditional entitlements.
